ASAP taxis is a small independent taxi and private hire service operating in East Cowes (PO32) and Whippingham Isle of Wight, supplying taxis to all of the nearby surrounding areas including Wootton Bridge & Fishbourne (Wightlink).
We supply 1 to 4 seat estate cars on a fixed price travel basis plus 1 - 8 seat taxi minibuses. (Please always check for vehicle availability). We are also incredibly dog and pet friendly.
For larger passenger groups we can supply additional vehicles depending on the size of your group.
We are based near to the Red Funnel ferry terminal in Dover Road East Cowes.
All of the fares and prices that we charge are based on the Isle of Wight Councils metered tariff although discounted rates and deals are available. Please ask.
We also accept card payments. You can pay in the taxi by Cash, Visa, Mastercard or Contactless. No additional fees or surcharges.

PLEASE NOTE: For groups of between 5 & 8 persons please call us for the best price and MPV availability.
For mainland journeys ie: Heathrow Gatwick etc, again please call us on 01983 244444 as the price quoted on the booking portal will often not be the correct price. This is due to ferry costs and other tolls which the portal does not take into account. Very often the price will be cheaper for mainland trips than the one quoted on the booking form.
After installing the Taxi Booker APP just enter ASAP into the search bar then select ASAP Taxis. You only need to do this once.

Our main operating area is East Cowes & Whippingham Isle of Wight, but we can also cover the whole of the Island if you need to get back to East Cowes from anywhere else on the Isle of Wight. Just give us a call.
Yes we do. Visa & Mastercard and all contactless payment devices including Apple Pay, Google Pay and contactless cards. Current card limit is £100 for contactless. (Sorry not Amex).
We can accommodate between 1 and 4 people in the private hire estate car service and between 1 - 8 in the taxi minibuses at any one time. The simple answer is no. Where would we store them all? However you are more than welcome to supply your own and we will assist with fitting if you need us to.
We are happy to take bicycles and riders just as long as we have a suitable taxi available. Please check before travel to ensure that we do.
We use the council sealed meters for fares (revised June 2022) in the hackney carriages and fixed price fares for the estate car private hires.

In East Cowes there is only one taxi rank and it is located in Dover Road, right outside of the Red Funnel ferry terminal.
